Trouble with ADTPro ESDos while bootstrapping an Apple //e over audio

Hi all! My first post here!

I've been having a problem with my Apple //e when trying to make a DOS floppy disk using ADTPro from bare metal using the audio cable, everything works fine in ProDOS when I send it, but when I go to format the disks, it just says I/O Error, but the drives at least spin up (this will be relevant later). I even tried both of my 3.5 in. drives to no avail. So then I tried to use ESDos, because it turns out, that's what ADTPro recommended for my situation.

But, when I go to bootstrap using ESDos, everything goes well until the point where I have to INIT the disk. Whatever command I type using INIT simply doesn't work, it just says DISK ERROR: I/O. But I know both of the disks drives work and the disks are blank, and I could write to them on a different Apple II machine. The thing that really worries me is that the disk drives don't even spin up when I try to init them, simply nothing happens except for the I/O error.

Plz help :(
