Hi Fritter'ers!
It's been a long, long while since I've posted here (too long!), but I haven't died, just been busy. Had my first child a couple years ago, moved across the country, left my 7+ year career with Apple, etc. etc.
Anyway, I'm looking to ramp up my SE/30 which has been sitting in storage for years. I'd like to find a CPU upgrade for it - are the Diimo boards still the best / only good option? I've got a ProColorServer 24x PDS video card installed currently, which I'd be more than happy to trade for (or towards + cash) a decent CPU upgrade.
I'd also like to replace the capacitors on this Mac's motherboard (you can read my original thread about this machine here: http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2819), but I have neither the skill nor the tools to do this on my own. Is there anyone (ideally in the San Francisco area) who might be willing to offer this as a service, either for some dough or in trade for something cool?
Thanks gang - it feels good to be back!
PS It might warm a few hearts to know that my new job with Cisco requires that I use a Lenovo ThinkPad all day as a triple-screen desktop workstation, but I've equipped it with a beloved Apple Extended Keyboard II (via an ADB-to-USB adapter).
