Dumb Question: How do you take apart a 20" Apple Aluminum Cinema Display?

Hi,

I just got a broken 20" Apple Aluminum Cinema Display.
It's symptoms are:
Grey Screen upon boot up with vertical Grey lines and bars along both sides.

Any idea what maybe wrong with this unit?

Does anyone have an idea how to take this thing apart. Maybe I can fix it!?

If I can't fix it I'm inclined to make it an ANT FARM!
Now this depends if I've got the time or not...

Shoot away with the replies!

Warranty

How old is it? There's a good chance that it is still under warranty, considering that the aluminum displays haven't been around that long. If it's less than a year old, you're good. If not, it never hurts to call Apple, they may be able to give you a CS code for a warranty repair.

Out of Warranty-Likely

Well, the person who gave me the Cinema Display said they were told it woudl cost them $700 to repair... my, my... a bit to much to swallow for a display which now goes for $700 brand new...

To me it sounds like they dropped the display and the internal cable got loose... I say this because this sounds like what happens when an (excuse me here) IBM laptop experiences a LCD issue where the display get's washed out or won't come on... usually you disassemble the laptop to get to the cable and reattach it back to the mother board and your usually back up and running with out a problem...

Well - IF anyone knows how to open this display up I'd appreciate it!
