tcp/ip problems

im using mac os 9.2.2 and somehow aol messed up my tcp/ip. I can't use any browser or an im client. not even the internal aol browser will work. I would post this in kiwi, but there isn't a topic for os 9. (I also know that aol sucks, but i have no choice.) any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just curious, are you in rang

Just curious, are you in range/somewhat near any wireless access points? You could use a wireless ethernet bridge with an antenna to get on wireless or something. Back to aol, what do your tcp/ip settings look like? In the drop down menu for ethernet ppp etc is there a choice for "aol dialup" or something similiar? I remember aol putting in another network interface when it was installed that had to be used.

it did, and i set it back to

it did, and i set it back to that, and still nothing. What i did was restore a backup of my preferences folder and that fixed that. I dont have a wireless ethernet bridge or i would be using it, but thanks for the great tips!
