I've got a Wallstreet PowerBook that I picked up recently (ultra-sweet deal; free!) that is in need of a hard drive transplant. I've been shopping for a replacement hard drive for it, but am not sure what to get. I'd like to put a 5400RPM mechanism in it for performance sake, but I had read a while back that ATA-6 drives don't mix well with Wallstreets, and had that confirmed by a tech rep from Other World Computing. The trouble is I can't seem to find any drives on the market these days that don't use ATA-6 interfaces.
I know there are a few Wallstreet users on AF, and it's likely that some of you have replaced a drive recently; care to share what you bought and how it's working for you?
Thanks a ton!
