You can't just swap the LCD alone, you really need the complete display including the matching cables. That's an easy swap, a couple of screws and a couple of plugs.

You're probably past caring about this, but it's a Sharp LQ11S42 - I went through a lot of searching to find out and though I'd stick it here in case if helps someone else. The 1400cs screen is a Sharp LM80C24
