12" ibook G3 keyboard

Is there any way to switch my ibook keyboard for a powerbook keyboard? Im trying to do a backlit mod for my 12" ibook G3 and read somewhere that the keys on the 12" powerbook AL have the clear lettering but don't have the backlit. Is this true? COuld i possibly just switch the keys one by one? Thanks
