Mac Monitor to VGA video card adapter

Can anyone tell me for certain what pins on VGA video are which monitor IDs? I'm trying to run an old Mac monitor from a rage128 pro and Google has turned up conflicting information about monitor sense pins in HD15 connectors. It looks like it's pins 4,11 and 12, but different sites assign different IDs to those pins, and this site confuses me even further.
