The title pretty much sums it up. I have two Color Classics, and neither one has sound. The second one had sound when I first found it, but managed to lose it by the time I got home. I don't think this is a coincidence. It seems to me that something has probably come loose inside, but I'm not sure what. I have the pdf manual, but that's no big help for this one. A cursory check of the insides didn't turn anything up, so I'm looking here for ideas. I'm pretty good with a computer's insides, so I'm hoping someone here might have an idea of a path to follow.
Thanks
It could well just be a cable issue. First, take off the back 'bucket' with the CC facing down on a soft surface. First identify the speaker - above the logic board, to the left, pointing outwards - it's plastic bodied and located with Velcro. Gently remove the speaker, and you'll see the speaker cable. Trace it back, and it should connect to the analogue board. If it's become detached, that's your problem.
Also, check the sound level isn't set to zero with the control panel!
