Have you used this card?
Would it work with an Apple II non-plus, allowing you to access 256K of memory? Does this require any associated software or is this plug & play.

Also be interested to know, from those that have used this card what sorts of Apple II applications will "feel" faster: games? adtpro uploads?
I assume the reading/writing to disk will be unchanged and this is the bottleneck of most applications anyway.
The Transwarp was plug and play. No software needed.
AE advertised it as compatible with the II, II+ & IIe
With the Transwarp you wouldn't really have access to the 256k on the card.
What the Transwarp does is use part of that memory for itself. Since it can access it's RAM faster thn motherboard RAM or ROM on bootup it copies the computers ROM into it's RAM. Then it uses 64k of it's RAM instead of the motherboard and language card RAM. If it's in an Apple IIe it'll use it's own 64k instead of the first 64k on an Auxilary slot card.
The TransWarp is almost a computer in itself and pretty much takes over the Apple II it's in. With it installed you can actually boot an Apple II with the processor & RAM removed from the motherboard.
The Transwarp would work in any slot(except Aux) but slot 0 was recomended on a II or II+. Slot 3 on a IIe.
The Transwap was set to slow down when accessing 5.25" drives but 3.5" drives and hard dives didn't require a slow down so it made accessing them especially fast.
BTW holding down the Escape key at startup disables the card for games or anything that requires a 1 mhz computer

Thank you Wayne for that insight,
Would I "notice" the speed difference on my Apple II, when say playing a game, booting a disk etc. Not that I have any issues with the speed of my pride and joy
You should definitely notice a difference. Games will run faster. For some that'll be an improvement but a lot will be unplayable at 3.5 mhz.
While it accesses 5.25" disks at 1 mhz you may still notice a speed increase at times as it'll handle the data a lot faster.
It numbers among my most useful Apple II additions.
