iBook G3 Power problems, Flashing Red Light

I haven't been hear for awhile glad to see you are all still hear

OK I found an iBook G3 500MHz that don't work. it will not power on. No fans no chimes.

when the power supply is plugged in, the connector it is constantly flashing red. If I unplug the DC-in board from the mobo then the connector go to green.

The only thing I can fined is this on the Apple site

Hi a bit more info

when the DC-in bored is plugged in I cant get a stable voltage on the out of the DC in bored.

the power brick looks good, I can get a stable voltage from it.

What I would like to find out is what the flashing red light means (e.g over current, under voltage etc..)

My gut feeling is that a power chip on the mobo has gone and is shorting out.
