Power supply for 8500

Power supply for 8500

So once I get some things moved around I want to throw my 8500 in a PC case so that I have more drive bays. My plan was to have the exsisting drives (floppy, HD, CD-ROM and Jaz) and then add a Sonnet IDE controller for a huge HD and make my external burner internal. Now one question is will will I need another power supply (I think the answer is yes) and if so how do I make that fly. I saw this exact same case conversion on xlr8yourmac but it involved a printed circut board and soldering...which scares me. Any ideas?
