PC ISA version of the Dan ][ Controller

Hello,

After a long hiatus, I finished a version of the Dan ][ Controller, but for the PC and MSDOS.  You can find it at

https://www.github.com/profdc9/ISACard

Like the Dan ][ Controller, two SD cards can be accessed, this time from MSDOS.  The entire card may be a hard disk equivalent or an image file.  It uses a patched version of the XT IDE Universal BIOS so that the drive is accessed through int 13h and can be used as a boot drive.  Like the Dan ][ Controller, this card is also made from more easily acquired, through-hole parts (mostly): 74HC86, 74HC32, 82C55A, 28C64B, 27C128/28C256, and a ATMEGA328P.  There is a MSDOS utility to change the accessible SD card volume.

I hope some PC retro enthusiasts find this useful as the Apple ][ users have found the Dan ][ Controller useful.

Dan

Does it works only at 8MHz std bus, or can it raise to better frequencies ?

Layout and support bracket

The card should support 8 MHz if a 8 MHz speed 82C55A (e.g. the 82C55A-5) is used, and a ROM is used that is accessible at 8 MHz, which the 28C256 should be, but there are  many other options as well.

I redesigned the card to place the card slots at the back of the computer and added mounting holes.

That looks like a very nice card.  I have an IBM PC 515x that I have been planning to use with one of the Quadlink clone cards that I have (that make it into an Apple ][+ clone).
