Hi
I have a PSU from a powmac b&w G3, and would like to know if it still works. Is there any way to make the PSU start, without connecting it to a computer?

yes, there is a single wire on the connector that is a different color from the rest (actually there are 3 or 4 unique wire colors). Anyway, if you short that wire to ground (any black wire) the power supply will turn on. It will not harm anything to short any other single wire to ground while the supply is off. I think the turn on wire is either green or brown.
From there, yellow wires are 12V, red is 5V, and orange or purple wires are 3.3V. All voltages may read high without any load on them.
Thank you very much.
I forgot to reply , but it works (it was the green wire on my psu).
I am now using it to power a harddrive "hack" in my emac.
I have connected 3 harddrives to my emac, and the two of them is lying outside the case, connected w. a ide-cabel.
