Here in Northern Virginia, what was left of the hurricane hit us pretty hard. There were severe thunderstorms all afternoon, and tornados all around us and the power went and out. No damage to us, luckily, but the closest tornado to touch down was less than a mile away from us.
Hope everyone else is ok too.
The river is gaining on us at about 20ft/hr, so it should reach the garage in about two hours and the house a couple hours after that. But don't worry, the Applefritter Archives are being evacuated, to prevent what would otherwise be the greatest lost since the burning of the Library of Alexandria.
