imac 350mhz with half yellowed screens

Does anyone know what would be the culprit of half yellow screens on a 350mhz iMac? Doesn't the iMac automatically deguass itself when it is turned on or do they just need to be de-guassed? Or is it the P.A.V. board going bad?
