Getting a high, high, highscore

I have been playing Airburst Extreme with my cousin lately, and he put his name in the highscore's, which is supposed to have only *my* name in it!
So actually I have gone on a mission to push his name all the way down off the list, but he got himself on the third place, so it's gonna take a while.

So, what I wanna know is how to get a high, high, highscore. I haven't found a pattern in how to do that. When I play a level (mostly as BCM), sometimes I get a message like 67 levels gained, which usually goes with a high score, but then sometimes I don't even get 1, even if I wiped everyone off the face of the planet (or actually on) within the minute.

I know every burster you hit gets you 1 point, but I wasn't planning on doing that up to 81713270 times. Then there are the bonuses, and the score doublers, but what other ways are there to maximize your score?

Levels are gained per million points and the best way to get higher scores is to start on higher levels (as you get bigger bonuses and multipliers). If you pick up a multiplier, you get that multiplied score until you lose a balloon, so playing Moon or Inku can be an advantage there if you time your Extreme Power just right Wink

How is it that you sometimes get like 67 million points in one level, and sometimes not even one million ? I suspect destroying all the players in a few seconds gets you score up bigtime, but it doesn't always.
And I just thought of a new powerup: prolong extreme power. The next time your extreme power activates, or if it is already active, it's remaining time doubles. That will help. Hm, that gets me thinking of another one: infinipower…

A boost for your extreme power might work, but it would be difficult to balance. Infinite Extreme Power would break the game (if Moon got it for instance, no-one else could win and if Moon and Inku got it at the same time, the level would never end).

If you can pick up a couple of score bonuses with a high multiplier, before you get hit, you'll score a lot of points. Because of this, some levels you'll not get much because you didn't get any multiplier-points combos and other levels you'll get huge bonuses.

Well, I guess I'll just have to get lucky. It's a 'lucky' game.
Nevertheless, it's a great game to play every now and then. Smile

Moon is my favorite, though I enjoy using Inku in really 'busy' levels, charging up my extreme power before it has run out. It is a blessing. But I cursed him, as I often play BCM. Acute

YES! He's down. Took me long enough, but it's a good reward. Smile
