My Mystic is coming with an ethernet card. Since my b/f has a broadband connection with a pc and Xbox hooked up to it, can I hook up through the existing router & modem, or will I have to get another modem for Mac??

TCP/IP over ethernet works just fine on a Mac or PC. Depending on what OS you run on your Mystic, it might not support DHCP very well, so you might have to make all the TCP/IP settings by hand. But, once that is done, it should work just fine.
