replacing powerbook DVI LVDS cable

Hello
Recently my LVDS cable went bad and I ordered a new one. I have the powerbook display opened and have access to the back panel of the lcd where the cable plugs in. I can't get the old cable out of the hinge so I can put in a new one. What would be the best way to do that?

Secondly, what would be the best way to get the new cable in through the hole without causing damage?

Thank You

Would help a lot if you told

Would help a lot if you told us which model power book you had.

The short answer is, you have to take the hinge apart.
