Help - Poor college students needs advice on G3 upgrades

As title stated I'm a poor college student that needs to upgrade an old Beige G3 minitower. I can't afford a new one, but for what I do the 1GHz G3 ZIF upgrade would be perfect. I have the rev. 3 Rom, and the Rythene voltage regulator (so I'm ready even for the G4's). I already have 768 MB ram, and a 64 MB radeon installed. What I was wondering is if I install a IDE controller, will this allow me to have more then a 8GB partition for OSX. I aslo have a SCSI ultra II controller, If I use that to contorl a boot drive can I break the 8GB limit of the onboard IDE (have to use the card for the zip since the onboard scsi works only when it wants to).

Also, has anyone tried the software that make the onboard floppy work in OSX

Thanks for any help,

A friend of mine tried to download the drivers mentioned in Xpost Facto from dawin development but the site doesn't seem to work. He tried some others (Swim 3) but they don't seem to work in the Beige G3 (Desktop). I'll find out the site he got them from and you could try them in yours
