Creating a standalon monitor from PBg4 Ti screen?

Hi, I have a PBG4 titanium that has died. I'd like to salvage the LCD monitor and make a monitor to play video on. Any ideas where to start? The logic board is what died in the PB, so I have no idea how to use the computer, except the lcd panel.

can't be done, sorry

There's really no chance of getting this to work, the required LVDS standalone hardware driver simply doesn't exist.

Best bet is to sell off the 'Book, either bit-by-bit, or whole-for-parts, then buy yourself a real 17" desktop LCD with the proceeds.

Be very careful removing the LCD's LVDS data cable, it's quite fragile and a bit expensive to replace. Get a copy of the service manual if possible, it makes the takeapart much easier.
