I was recently givin this computer,it has a zoom pc card 56k dual mode installed,it looks as if I need to plug into this card to gain internet access,I want to dedicate this computer to internet only (dial up or dsl if possible) Also how come a standard mouse doesnt work ? Any help would appreciated. Thanks.

The plug does not accomidate a standard mouse.

A "standard" mouse would be a HID compliant USB mouse, and it wouldn't support that either. It's ADB, which is the old standard for Macs until the B&W G3/iMac.
Great thanks for the help with the mouse issue,does anybody know how to use the powerbook 2400c/180 to get internet access. I have IE,AOL and netscape installed allready,I just do not see a place for a phone jack.

Well, the PC card should come with a wire called a dongle. It'll plug into the flat port on the PC card. From the looks of it, you don't have a dongle, and you'll probably be better off buying a new modem.
