Live boot OS X

I was thinking along the line of making a stripped down os x install on a cd so one could pop it into the drive of any mac os x compatable drive and boot. what would it take to do this? what would some of the applications one would like to keep, and would it like booting of of a cd that it can not write anything to? any sugejestions would be nice!

It's pretty complicated, but it can be done. I don't have a link, but I recall a guide on Low End Mac about a year ago.

However, works perfectly besides that... Wink
