XP SP2

Is it time to get SP2? I have heard some bad things, and some good things, so I'm not sure...what would you reccomend?

Well, Microsoft has already cut off support for pre-SP1 versions of XP, and SP2-only support is likely not far behind. You may soon not have a choice.

The upshot is that SP2 is perfectly fine. I've been running it on my XP Pro box since it came out and I haven't had a single problem. We've started deploying it at work, and of the 500 or so machines it's on now, we've had few complaints. I'd go ahead and install it if I were you.

Thanks. I guess I will do it then as soon as I get a chance. Is there anything I should watch out for, like hardware incompatibilities or anything?

It worked perfectly with my oldish Toshiba laptop that does not even support XP. I use 2003 now though.
