PCMCIA Network card

Ok first let give you my sittuation, i have no money whats so ever, ok now lets get to my problem, i have a powerbook 5300ce and im trying to add a PCMCIA network card, i only have too cards a 3Com Megahertz 589ec and a intel etherexpress pro 10/100, and i would at least like to get one of them to work but i need a driver and sofar i cant find none. secondly this laptop is supposed to support 800x600 at 16bit colors and whenever i goto set it at 16bit colors i get a blank screen and have to guess at were to click to change it back to 256 colors to bring the screen back, why is this.
