FS/T: PC Laptop for your Mac or for Cash

Alright, here's what I want to do... I want to trade this laptop for a Mac or this+cash for a Mac... or I can accept cash outright.

This laptop is an Averatec 3200 series

1.8 GHz Mobile AMD Athlon XP
256 MB RAM
20 GB HD
DVD-ROM/CD-RW
Integrated Wireless
Power Adapter
Factory Install Windows XP Home w/SP2 (Key on sticker on laptop)
No discs

Flaws with the laptop: battery is stuck at a 25% charge and will not run from battery power. Battery seems to overheat. Laptop works fine when connected to AC, though if moved too much it will suddenly shut off... I think a new battery should solve any problems.

Any reasonable offer for trade or cash will be accepted

Asking....

Well, I don't think asking $590 OR BEST OFFER outright would be too unreasonable... as for what Mac, then I would want, say... a mini or any other G4. A Cube, perhaps or an 800 MHz G4 iBook. Or a Rev A 12" PB + Cash

Your battery problem is commo

Your battery problem is common in Avertec Laptops, as I've fixed one, and heard of others. I believe that it is a driver problem, as I booted a Linux live cd without a problem, but however, in Windows it just kept shutting down. A new battery from Avertec fixed the problem.

Ah really? Did they give you

Ah really? Did they give you a new battery for free? I did the Linspire Live CD as well and it ran fine... hmmm...

Either way, I still need to sell this laptop. So at least anyone who wants it know what to do to fix it!
