I have this on multiple computers on my network. At random times during the day, not related to times set up in the management counsel, I have rtvscan.exe running and hogging 90%+ of the processor on the machine. This is happening on more than one computer, happens at random times, and I cannot figure out how to stop this.
Any ideas?

rtvscan.exe
this may be on of the new Virus's that turns the machine into a zombie machine. If it is XP or 2k, good luck getting rid of it

EDIT: I think my dad's pc at work had this. It was unprotected and quickly spread to the other machines. does the Mouse move smoothly on it at all when it is doing this?
Its part of Symantec Anti-Virus.
check here
(& coius you are a trip)
so go to Start\Programs\Symantec Client Security\Semantec Client
and you can configure the scans to run when you like... however, the scans will only run if someone is logged in, so you really can't do it in the middle of the night (which would be nice). I usually set it to scan daily at 8am, and if skipped, to re-scan within the next hour, so my users are sort a forced to let it run.
my bad
I do make mistakes sometimes
If a computer was not able to scan when the schedule told it to, it will scan the next possible time
