Apple IIe HAL equations in vhdl

I found a file containing the equation for the Apple IIe HAL.

it is in a language I dont understand

do you know if the same file exist in vhdl ?
or is there any information on how to read the file (this is a small extract)

apparently it's just simple equation using just not, and, or...

there is this description

DESCRIPTION:
'=not (inverted)
+=or (# in CUPL)
*=and (& in CUPL)
/=low (! in CUPL)

but it's not so clear, for example the signal on pin 19 is ras' but the the part of the equation is /ras

apparently it is easy to deduce the and / or but with the /signal signal' signal
the not seems comfusing

any idea ?

Come see a Rev-0 in the flesh at VCF east 9.1

As I'm finishing up my exhibit for VCF plans I realized some of you may be wondering what makes the Rev-0 so special and different than all the other Apple II that came after it and why do some of us just love the Rev-0. Sure it came first, but it's more than that...

Sure I'll be showing an Apple-1 replica next to a person bringing a real Apple-1.

II+ Foil Keyboard H--l

Got the parts today that Corey was kind enough to send me (thanks Corey!!!). I decided to go in on my II+ foil tab keyboard. I hesitated initially because after repeatedly fighting it I had finally gotten it previously to a point where the only issues were a dead - key, a space that appeared after 3 was pressed, and a sometimes flaky D. But Corey was kind enough to send me a nice long foil strip so I thought I could pull it off.

Boy was I wrong.

Strange failure on apple IIe motherboard

Hi

I have 2 Apple IIe motherboard and a power supply

when I power the first board, the screen is cleaned and then the simple word "Ram:" is written on the top left corner...
nothing else. I deduced (I may be wrong) that the board is working but lack peripherals and specially a keyboard
(if I remove the 74LS154 decoding the IO I get "Apple II and a prompt"

on the second board, the screen is filled with little colored squares (I guess it's just low resolution) an nothing else.
if I put the rom of the previous board to this one, I columns on screen patterns containing '*'

apparently on of the set of eprom is enhanced the other set standard

any idea to what I should look to solve the problem of the board with the screen filled with colored squares ?

I try to swap many parts without real success...

any idea ?

Compatiboot?

What are these Compatiboot (no FASTLOADER) disk images showing up on Asimov?

No fastloader, but yet they load superfast. And what does "compatiboot" mean anyways?

Apple II late 1978

Some pictures of recent finds. Finded an late 1978 original Apple II and early 1980 Apple II europlus among with some cards.

The 1978 Apple II does have however Apple II badge wich i'm in a process of replacing with the original badge.

Oddly the 1978 Apple II had one Integer ROM chip and others were Applesoft II ROM's. I borrowed the ROM's from the Europlus, cleaned it up

Funny smell Apple IIe power supply

I recently got an Apple IIe enhanced from a friend who asked me to clean for him.everything went fine, but while trying to run a diagnostics program I thought my wife was cooking, a sweet burning smell began to come out. I then realize it was the IIe, and immediately shut it down. Mi afraid to turn it on again, what can it be? Can it be repaired?

SSC II and ADTPro not working

As I was going through a lot of Apple stuff I bought from one seller, I found an Apple Super Serial II Card among the pile. I had previously been using my Apple III to write Apple II disks but I think it is going flaky (like sometimes it will 'remember' things you typed at various prompts in ADTPRO and then repeat them at another prompt, or the drive writes the first couple disks ok and then starts coming up with 'bad sectors').
