Apple III can’t tiping on prompt

hi guys, let me start by saying that I really have zero knowledge of Apple III, I bought an Apple III and replaced all the capacitors on the power supply, the machine turns on and the word retry appears, if I try to detach the keyboard it loops in a diagnostic ram (I don't know if it's normal), seeing some videos however by pressing ctrl + apple open an arrow appears and then I can write, I tried to press the same combination too and the arrow appears and you hear a beep but it doesn't allow me to write anything, it's a malfunction I assume, does anyone have any suggestions?

Focus drive size

I wondered how big a drive I could use on a Focus card. I already had a CF adapter attached so I tried my largest CF an 8gb. I let it format for a few hours and found it wanted to make 30 partitions with a lot of space left over. I deleted some, adjusted some sizes and partitioned it.

Hi Res photos of Super Serial Card?

Does anyone have (or can take) some hi res pics of a Apple Super Serial Card.

I'm looking to make a replica of the original and so far have only found photos of the top side.  Have also found a schematic which should make things easier.

I've tried building the simple serial card on github but there are lots of issues with is  so now on a mission to create a schematic/pcb layout of the original.

The prices are crazy on eBay so thought this would be a good project.

Beta tester wanted

In search of a couple beta testers for a new ROMX product. Must have at least one Apple II (plus) clone - specifically those with the same chip spacing between the D0 ROM and LS138 (locations F11 to F12 = 0.25" or 6.35mm pin to pin). DM me with a list of your machines and what other boards are inside. Must be in US and have a few weeks to thoroughly test. If you already have a ROMX Text ROM that's a plus!

What? No Beep??

What is the general meaning of "No Beep" on startup?  I have just taken my Apple IIe (Enhanced) out of storage after 35 years.  Trying to make her work for my grandsons to learn by.  Any help out there??

Many Thanks,

Paul

Morning, everyone! I've been lurking on these forums and elsewhere for a while taking in tips and tricks where I can to get my PAL Apple IIe up and running, but I've made an account as I've now run into a problem and I'd like a second opinion.

Design for a 3.3v IOU replacement

I am designing the 3.3v version of a replacement for the IOU. Once it's done and I know it works, I'd like to add it to my open source IOU/MMU as a 'reference implemenation'. However, I'm just a hobbyist hardware designer, and probably not a very good one at that.

I am posting my thoughts on the design, to satisfy the curiosity for some, and to get any comment for those with hardware design experience.

I will use the ICE5LP1K-SG48. It's cheap and very easy to find. It also have an internal oscillator, which I need to add a delay to /RAS.
