Smoking Gun for sure

Finally the debug effort is finished. I traced the no boot issue to a bug in ProDOS. This error exists in both ProDOS version 1.2 and 1.9. But I see it has been fixed in version 2.0.1. I just need to do a work around in my ROM code to make sure I do not trigger this bug. Then I can continue firmware development of the Serial Virtual Drive. When I get this working, the floppy is the next task. I have done some testing on the floppy and I believe it is working. But the final test will be to load a DOS 3.3 image into the RAM and try to boot from the floppy. If it works, then it is party time.

Freedom Toaster Project - My USA project!

So, some of you may have seen the http://www.freedomtoaster.org/ project. I have been to Surplus Exchange recently where they have an old phone card dispenser for very cheap. My plan is to go down there tomorrow and buy it to convert the case into a Freedom Toaster. Then, I'll donate it back to S.E. for use by their customers to make OS CDs as needed. It's a great idea, IMHO. S.E. already gives out Ubuntu and Redhat CDs, and one of the two techs there is really getting into Ubuntu.

How and Why Canon fixed my PowerShot A60

I just wanted to post this little bit about Canon, because you rarely see people go on and on about something GOOD that a company has done. Canon has treated us very well. I like my PowerShot A60 and can now continue to use it.
