I was wondering if anyone else has experienced an issue with ProSel 8 such that while the date and time display correctly, the day-of-week is one day behind. The attached ProSel snapshot file illustrates the issue.
It shows the date as 4-Mar-23, the time as 11:23 but the day-of-week as Friday.
I am using AppleWin version 1.30.13.0
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
It's not a ProSel issue, it's a ProDOS issue with outdated day-date tables that think it's 1923 and not 2023.
Try using ProDOS 2.4 with ProSel - it has updated day-date tables.
While I understand that there are differences in the day/date tables in legacy versions of ProDOS compared to those in John Brooks' newer versions. This does nothing to help me understand why the no-slot clock utilities v1.4 copyright 1991 by Craig Peterson returns accurate day/date information whether using ProDOS v2.0.3 or John Brooks' version 2.4.2. Regardless of ProDOS version used however, ProSel 8 consistently provides a day-of-week one day earlier than what is correct.

Actually I take back what I said.
ProSel seems to have its own clock functions and does display the incorrect day of the week.
This would have to be fixed at a sourcecode level. The sourcecode for the 16 bit version ProSel-16 does exist on the internet and I believe that Antoine Viognau of BrutalDeluxe disassembled ProSel-8. If anyone can fix the day of the week issue it would be him.
That's as far as I want to dive into this rabbit hole. ProSel doesn't have any real utility for me - I prefer the BYE utility for program selection since it's quick and easy and does everything I need.
