New Apple II Registry

Friends:

I’m excited to announce the launch of the new Apple II Computer Registry!

First, a huge thank-you to Peter Rittwage , who created and maintained the original registry. With the recent changes to the site, I reached out to Peter and asked if he would mind my hosting and rewriting the code. He kindly agreed, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help continue what he started.

I also spoke with a number of people in the Apple II community while rebuilding the site and received some great feedback and suggestions. Special thanks to Jeff Davies , Larry Pell, Garrett Meiers, and Paul Weaver for their input.

The new registry includes:

•    A much more robust search engine

•    The ability to edit new entries if you register using your email address

•    An expanded FAQ section

•    New drop-down menus and other improvements to make adding a computer easier and drives consistency

•    Preservation of the entire original registry database

If you have an entry from the original registry that you would like updated, please DM me and I’ll be happy to help.

And this is just the beginning. Future enhancements will include dedicated registries for the Apple IIc Plus and Apple IIGS, along with additional historical and reference material.

I hope the new registry becomes a useful resource for collectors, restorers, historians, and anyone interested in preserving the history of the Apple II series of computers!!
