Computer Movies

Two quick questions:

Does any one remember the name of that 90's computer movie with the computer company Auto Com.

Also what was the name of the computer movie with the computer set-top cameras that would "eliminate" the user?

Thanks,
Apple_II_Fan

Hey wasn't the second film ab

Hey wasn't the second film about a set top devices with camera, where one company whas selling. But there was a bad computer wich controlled them and it wanted to kill people by emiting some king of rays through the eyes, forcing the cells to produce plenty of calcium and people where getting white (and dead too). There was a blind programmer in the movie and the bad computer killed him by accepting high voltage through his keyboard. I remember that in the end there was something like grand opening of the company which produced this things and the good guy had to stop it, because then they were going to activate a milions of those device worldwide. Too bad I can't remember. But does someone remember some of those moves :
1) A criminall died and somehow got in a computer, moving like an electronic ghost or something, and started doing bad thinght trough the power network - there were exploding washing machines and a lot of other cool stuf. I remember that in the end they killed the bad guy by putting him in a magnetic accelerator or something (scriptwriters - what will we do without them)
2) I think it was a Tom Hanks movie - He was forgetful and wanted to buy an organiser. Well there were no left in the shop and he had to buy desktop computer - I think it was Apple II.It had a lot of cool stuf like voice syntheser and interface to the kitchen devices, but Hanks poured champagne on it and he sparked and got really smart. He helped Hanks to date his beutifull musician neighbour women. I con't remember what hapened next, but in the end the computer suicided buy sending 100000V through the phone worldwide and they returned to it and it exploded.Scriptwriters.......

It wasn't Tom Hanks...

It was Lenny von Dohlen. And the movie was "Electric Dreams" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087197/ ). Wow, I don't think I've seen that one since it was in the theatre.

OK, so that gets that one out of the way. Now...

I'm pretty sure your "#1" was "Shocker" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098320/ ). That came through when I worked at the $1 theatre... it was overpriced...

I'm still lookin into the first two movies posted. I'll figure them out. There was a nice little period of time from about 1984 - 1992 where if it was on film, I probably saw it.
