best of books for iie

I looked around and haven't found a really good reference list for iie books that a newb might need. But, I've been doing my best finding and filing books that might work. I've  ordered the most important ones... so far as i can tell:

Manuals to have on hand

  • Apple IIe Owner's Manual 1983
  • Apple IIe DOS User's Manual 1983
  • Apple IIe Applesoft Tutorial 1982
  • Apple II Reference Manual for IIe only 1982
  • Apple II Applesoft Basic Programmer's Reference Manual Vol 1 & 2 for IIe only 1982
  • Applesoft ][ Basic Programming Manual 1978
  • Apple II 80-Column Text Card Manual 1982

Books

  • Apple Machine Language Inman 1981
  • Compute's Machine Language for Beginners Mansfield 1983
  • Assembly Lines Wagner/Torrence 2017

These are just the ones I thought were important and useful (I've used Compute's guide for PAL-1 and Inman's looked good, Assembly Lines seems like a gotta have for what I'm doing (assembly on the iie). The manuals have already proven themselves to be invaluable. I guess what I'm looking for is some other gotta haves. I buy the ones I can find on ebay, but if it's gotta be pdf, that's fine too, but either qualifies so long as you think it's a valuable resource.

That's a great set of links,

That's a great set of links, for sure, but which ones are the good ones?

Well, the price is right, so you can check them out and decide for yourself.  It really depends on what you are looking for.

Inside the Apple //e

Anything by Gary Little is good. Inside the Apple //c is also worthwhile if you have an "enhanced" Apple //e for things like Mousetext and the revised Monitor ROM.

Wowzers.  I've been flipping through "Apple IIGS MAchine Language for Beginners" and it's a 633 page tome.

Between this and the "Assembly Lines" compilation on machine coding for the 8-bit series, Roger Wagner sure loved to write about machine language coding!
