Can anyone tell me if you can still search Applefritter for posts that were started a year ago?
I remember the search engine use to have how many days and by poster etc, etc.
All I can find now is the search button on the top frame to the right of the fritter logo.
Thanks.
Here's a beta of a search for AF I threw together a bit back. It's not great, but I keep meaning to finish it: http://applefritter.com/fritter/search/
This Beta search reports fewer (no results found) than the current Search does.
How is one able to search old posts for pertinent info if the webmaster deleted the old search (for this new one) that was on the old 'fritter.
Or do we just keep posting the same question over and over?
Thank you.
Right -
The new search will only find anything in the Drupal database. That's the current articles/forums. The one in the upper right uses Google, so it does return old results, but it takes a while to update. New stuff is hard to find.
The old forums can be found at http://www.applefritter.com/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl with the search function that you're thinking of found at http://www.applefritter.com/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl?board=;action=search
This won't search any of the material since we transitioned to Drupal, almost a year ago, but it should find anything that was posted in the forums.
There's a reason why I call the beta one beta
