Hi,
this is "off every topic" here but I made my special hack out of the motorola processors. If you are able to communicate in German I would like to ask you if you like to vote for my project.
I entered a contest provided by THE German IT-Magazine c´t which is called "mach flott den Schrott" which means "get going the scrap" - and lets the attendees show their projects they made out of old computer parts.
If somebody is interested in supporting to keep even old Mac-parts alive (and is able to communicate in German) please vote here: (pics available there too)

http://www.heise.de/ct/machflott/projekte/55952

excuse me: the voting process is not easy, sorry, they are German engineers...
The most interesting projects will be displayed at cebit, Hanover, Germany - THE computer fare - at least in Europe.

As proof of my MacAddiction: Newton 2100, Mac 512, Powerbook Duo 280 c, Powerbook G3 Lombard, Mac Cube upgraded to 1,0 GHz, Mac G5 1,8, ipod 4th Gen. 20 GB, 2 TV-SAT-Boxes with Linux, Airport since 1999 ... - uuuuooh: forgot my Internet-Server: Mac G3 233 Mhz - I am OnWeb since 1985... with a mac, what else?

My next project will be making a picture frame out of the PB duo - thanks for the instructions, James Roos! (I got no useful job for the powerbook duo anymore... any other device has one!) At the contest somebody stole your idea... I will send an Email to him and the magazine!

Thanks to all who would like to support this project!

With best regards,
Anna

My vote, conditionally

If you can persuade c't magazine to start English language translations again, I'll arrange a vote for you from every address in a class C IP address range Wink c't translated some of their great articles until about five years ago and their absence is a sad loss to us English readers.

Good luck,

Phil

Ow! Trying to think German again after all these years makes my brain hurt!

You have to register an account to vote:

It doesn't get damaged when you wear it?

MacLace & MacAtNeck

No, it does not get damaged ... but my expensive cashmere sweater does...

Sorry about the registration process - as I said they are German engineers.

and @Phil : I will try to convince the publishers of c´t to offer the English translation again, but I think there is no chance. I did not know that this magazine is so famous!

BTW: does anyone has a Ethernet-Bridge to local talk? I am working on the project "Duo 280 c in a picture frame" right now.

Thanks a lot,
Anna
