Does anyone know where I can buy a working (new or old will do) 6502 processor chip, the same chip in the Apple I and Apple II. I want to build a computer around it. Also, does anyone have any example programs for the Apple I on a tape? I want to test it with some demo tapes, and like stuff. Thanks.

The only source I can think of would be eBay. Using a Motorola DragonBall processor would be a lot more powerful, but then again, a lot of things would be more powerful than that pokey thing.
Have you checked around at local thrift stores for an old Atari 8-bit or C64 to get your 6502?
The only reson I want a 6502, is its what was used in the Apple I, and I already bought a book on 6502 assembly code. So I found a guy who will sell me one for $5.
Jameco stocks refurbished 6502's.
Wester Design Center sells them new.
You can buy brand spanking new 6502s from Western Design Center.

What's better than a 6502 clocked at 14MHz? Super Apple I!
WDC also makes the VIA 6522, the one in the 128k to plus. I'm using it in my mac kit computer.
