Pinouts for ADC to VGA adaptor, anybody?

Hi,

I realize the simplest solution to this would be to spend $30 and buy an adaptor, but I live in Brazil, where these things simply aren't available.

Sooo . . . moving quietly around the fact I'm going to have to make a custom plug too, can anybody give me an idea of the pinouts I'd use to connect a vga screen to the ADC connector on my G5 - I'm already using the DVI (with an adaptor), to connect to a VGA monitor. failing this, a link would be good too - I've had a good google, but haven't found a link with this particular combination.

This would be to run a pair of Sumsung 17" 1200 x 1600 screens - nothing spectacularly demanding, I hope.

Thanks for your help.

Dunno, but here is a link

Considering this seems to be just a plug on a cable, it must be possible to build one…

Yup, I'm sure in the US you can have one in hours. Unfortunately over here we lag a little, and I can't get one anywhere.

Ordering on the net is a no no - they won't take my credit card, and if they did, Brazilian customs would lose it . . .

Guess I'll wait till someone travels, that's usually how I get goodies over here Biggrin

Thanks for the help.

Great, thanks very much. I

Great, thanks very much.

I'll make a confession now - in the meantime have asked a Varig pilot friend who is in NYK next week to pick one up from Datavision.

But thanks for your links, kind of you to help!

And purely for yours and anyone else reading the threads amusement, and I guess to prove I'm a hacker in spirit, here's something I did a couple of years back . . . Biggrin
