Here's my idea. Put a ring of LEDs around my Apple Speakers and have them running off of a low pass filter to pick up just the bass. Pulsating to the beat. I just need to know if I can use the Apple Pro Speaker output to power the LEDs, will it be too much power? Or can I use the traditional headphone output?

Why would you need an amp on such low-voltage/low-amperage LEDs?
Do these work with through the USB or speaker port? 'Cuz if they go through the speaker port, then I might do this hack.

They're thru the speaker port, but with some help, I might figure out a way to have a different LED USB setup with a software low-pass filter. Maybe. Sleep first. Good sleep.
An Op-Amp turns a current source (like your speaker signal) into a voltage source (like you want for driving and LED.) The op-amp will also allow you to set the dynamic range of the speaker signal within the entire operating range of the LED.
