Looking for a game...Applesoft? D&D

Hi,

I'm looking for a game but do not have a name for it...
I only recall the game was used during the Apple ][plus line.
It is a Dungeons and Dragons type of maze game.
It consists of a blank screen which you would show up as a square block.
You would need to discover the map to the entire page and could go up and down at certain access points.
It was likely a applesoft game that I had to type in but it's been so long I can't remember anything about it...
If you happen to recall anything by the description I would appreciate and info...

I recall the monstors were GREEN BLOCKS and you had to fight them...while discovering treasure and items...
This was in 1978-1979 when I owned an Apple ][e.

Hello Sonny.

Goodness. Akalabeth? Deathmaze 5000? What throws it is the green block monsters... Now I'm curious too.

Well Greg,

The real problem is that I think this is an Applesoft program IIRC.
The whole entire maze is created each time you start the game.
No maze is the same.

Each character is a 2x2 square, as I mentioned the Monsters are Green IIRC. I remember programing and I think this was done with the lower resolution screens (was it Screen(0)? or somehting like that..I don't recall as my memory ages.)

There was another program that I recall which I definitely typed and that game's name I for got but it was some robot game and it was robots I think in a triangle pattern... I wish I couild pull these name out of my think skull but it's been way too long...It came out of a Apple Magazine in the day and I recall wasting so much time typing it in and then having to check it over for typos.. argh someone help me here - the name is on the tip of my tongue but it one word... Z somthing or whatever... HELP! ME!!!!! I give up... let me sleep..

Since it's a low-res basic ga

Since it's a low-res basic game, I think I may have it! I'll look tonight when I get back home.

There were a couple like that. The other one, which I liked, was Gold Miner.

The other game you mention here may be Renegade Robot. It was typed in from a Nibble magazine.

Hey was there a game called Nim or Nimoid...
And yes it could have been Nibble Magazine...
What I do recall about the magazine though
was that it was printed in a format similar
to a 8.5"x11" paper folded in half giving you
a portrait of 5.5"x8.5" and I think it was
printed in green ink on this particular issue
cover... definitely was printed in '78 or '79...

But Renegade Robot may have been it but that
name doesn't ring a bell for me...
