dvd with a blue and white g3 in os9 w/upgraded video card?

i have upgraded my blue and white tower with an ati radeon 7000 vido card, the drives are installed, and the card is great! but when i try to play a dvd and open apple dvd player, it says a hardware card is not resent. is there anway to bypass this? i know it is because the rage 128 cards needede a decoder card, but this has built in dvd playback, how can i disable his?

Patched DVD player

I just did the same thing with a Beige G3. I followed the instructions on this page and it worked great.
