nooo! poppunk!
You know, to counter the previous comment a bit, it really drives me bats when someone goes "eww (insert genre here.)" I mean maybe the person in question had some bad exposure to a peticular genre from a group or two, but write off the whole genre based on that?
I play in a band like every night of every weekend, until I get blisters under blisters (we took a slight hiatus or the tips of my fingers would be hard as rock.) I can tell you one thing, it takes guts to put what you've made in front of the global audience, or even a tight-knit community, even if youve performed it thousands of times locally or semi-locally. I applaud you for that much right off the bat.
I havent had a chance to take a listen yet but assuming I do I'll be happy to post again, maybe brainstorm a few ideas on names for you since it sounds like you're looking for a new one.
Just my two cents; not looking for a Battle Royale or anything. The music deserves to be embraced, supported... and no I'm not talking about the RIAA and don't get me started.

Um...did you listen to any of the songs? Theres nothing on there I would call poppunk at all.
But to each his own, I suppose.
Actually, we arent really looking for a new name, we just sort of pretend we are, or something. We're weird like that.
And if you do listen to the songs, well, take the lyrics with a grain of salt. They aren't meant to offend, we're just weird and we like to have fun.
I was kidding. Most of the new bands I hear about call themselves poppunk so when I found one that wasn't I thought I'd joke around with them.
I'd also like to say to all those in "poppunk" bands:
I have nothing against the musicians in any band, it's just that people who call themselves poppunk are contradicting themselves. It's like saying clean mud. It's an oxymoron. Punk is all about being anti-pop culture. Punk is about going against the grain of popular society. Pop is about going with the grain, conforming, etc.
...but of course, "punk" is "cool" now, so...
so punk isn't punk.
Modern punk isn't punk. If it's got more than 3 chords and two guitars it's crap,eh? Oi, oi, oi! Ok, never mind all that. I'm no punk afficianado.
Pseudopunk.
ehehehe...
wow... lifes good.
