WANTED: operate 2 seperate displays with ibook - no screen "mirroring" !!!

i heard about a software, a couple of weeks ago. what it does is actually unknown to me, but it enables a mode like if you were using a powerbook: you can operate 2 seperate displays, no.1 built-in lcd, no.2 external connector. it's not a mirroring, but a real extension of your desktop to a secondary display.

did anyone here about this little piece of software? if yes, does anybody know where to get it and are there maybe some guys / girls / whatever with experience using this neat tool? are there any backdraws? is it dangerous to use it? Wink

thanks in forward for your info...

chris

Tends to make the iBook run pretty hot. Make sure you've got proper ventilation, and maybe one of those laptop stand/cooling fan combo units. I used SSD with my iBook (G3/700) which later died. I don't think SSD had anything to do with it, but in the interest of full disclosure, it should probably be noted.
