You can, if you find the prop

You can, if you find the proper adapter (female 15-pin VGA to male VGA), but why would you want to? You can probably get a used 17" CRT from a thrift store, flea market, Goodwill, or anywhere else for free or the same $10 you would use to buy the adapter.

Just be something interesting

Just be something interesting and at hand.

For some reason, everything computers at my local thriftstores were at a max of $25. Now everthing is 100$ and higher! $100 for a 486 tower, you take a 1 and two zeros off of that and you got a deal. Do they throw away stuff after a while? Or does someone buy all that overpriced crap? Or is it given to there salvation army places? What do those old people need a win95 computer for? A Mac classic for?
