I just bought our first mac. I am really happy with the purchase. It was a 20 inch Imac and so far, WOW! Now, I have an IMac at home and a PC at work. I am still working on learning the mac way, but am happy to do so as it seems so much easier then a PC...
I do have one question. I have that stupid MSN Messenger for mac setup on my computer and can not get it uninstalled. I have tried dragging it to the trash can but it seems to come back or not be able to be put there. Does anyone have anysuggestions for me? I would like it gone.

Welcome! I'm guessing the 20" iMac you got is an Intel based one, and thus you are able to run and use various Windows apps you'd use at work in it, if need be. Macs truly are very flexible now with that kind of option available. You can have the goodness of OS X, but also have the compatibility of running Winders apps too. Much more fun than just a regular x86 based machine.
Yes, I did get the intel based imac. However, I am not sure exactly what that is going to afford me. We will see. I did buy microsoft office so I have word, excel, etc. I am not sure if that was something that could be done before now... So that is good. I really like the mac I have so far. Yes, Office has been available for Mac OS for quite a while. What I was referring to was that you can install Windows along side Mac OS, if you want. Or better yet, use a program such as Parallels to run Windows inside of Mac OS, so you won't have to reboot all the time. This is a great way to use programs that don't have Mac OS replacements.
