anyone else going?

I'll be there both days with a vendor spot in the outdoor flea market. Yes, I'm excited. As always!

Trenton is in central New Jersey, about 45min from Philly and roughly an hour from NYC.

I wish I could, but I'll be in Boston that weekend. Of course, being in Boston actually makes me _closer_ than if I were at home...

Sounds like fun! Have a good time!

Do you do a regular business in Macs and Mac parts?

this Sat and Sun - be there!

This is the oldest computer faire on the east coast. Tons of seminars, vendors, the outdoor flea market . . . lots of reasons to make the trip. The weather is even going to cooperate it seems - partly cloudy and 68 - 70 degrees both days.

I'll be out in the flea market area most of the day, my old beige '85 VW Golf will be filling my vendor spot. Hope to see at least someone else from AF there!

so-so fest

It's still good but not what it used to be. Flea market vendor spots are a bit dear ($75) so only the dedicated and the pros come out any more. At least the weather was fine this year.

Here's my car and wares:

I snagged a couple interesting items, G4 iMac, Cube (my first!), a 3com Audrey, some PowerBooks (Kanga, couple of Pismos, a 400TiBook), some PowerMacs (8600-free!, G3-450+G4-dual450-nearly free!), etc. All-in-all, a decent show for me I guess.

I did bump into one other AFer, LimeiBook86 stopped by and we chatted a bit.

I also picked some nifty wide-scsi pullout drive cases, which I promptly put to work inside an old full height SCSI case:

I just got 4 more 181GB Barracudas and these sleds worked out great. I did have to slightly mod the inside to allow room to fit in the SCA converter. This setup will replace 3 old 23GB Seagate Elites on my LAN server. I think I'm gonna set them up as mirrored pairs - I hate the thought of losing 160GBs of data in one clip (should a drive fail.)
