How many...

Another couple of 'Fritters to wire the bulb up to an ATX power supply...

... after which a few suggest better cooling for the bulb, then one with the bankroll to cool it using peltier junctions...

... after which another member carefully separates the metal from the glass and crams it full of Ultra Bright LEDs from DigiKey and takes detailed measurements to demonstrate the power savings vs. a traditional lightbulb...

And that's not counting the 500 that show up to ask what a light bulb is or what to do if it doesnt in fact produce light which are quietly shepherded off to their own little corner!

ARRRGHH!!!

(...nevermined that fact that this is all clearly discussed in the Lost Chornicles of Sarnia) Wink

but I could explain here...

...must...control...urge...to...start...new...thread...on...how...to...change...a...light...bulb...

First we need to know a couple of things:

 • Is the bulb in some sort of immovable object (say a ceiling) or a wall and is it oriented towards the horizontal or vertical axis?
 • Are you of the convition that the world revolves around you (noting that this makes changing of a verticaly oriented light bulb much easier)?
 • Is the light bulb in an appliance/motor vehicle (in which case I suggest purchasing a new appliance/motor vehicle)?
 • What kind of bulb is it?
 • Do you have contact info for at least 250 AF members (given that the count is at least that high)?

One to ask about the technica

One to ask about the technical aspects of why it failed, and about thirty to debate the cause and possible solutions for repairing the source of the bulb's failure.

One moderator to: a) move a

One moderator to:
a) move a user's lightbulb to another socket
b) turn off the light they shouldn't have turned on in the first place
c) point out Applefritter's acceptable light-use policy
d) edit the user's offending bulb from incandescent to CCFL.
e) offend users by making the light switch go "clickey, clickey" (and you've been here a long time if you understand that one)

and another to point out that those unawares should refer to the Lost Chronicles of Sarnia for clarification. Wink
