The date 8-27-1956

Whenever the time on my Macintosh G3 or my classic II resets, it is always set back to 8-27-1956. What is so special about that date? Does it mean anything? If someone has information, please tell me. Thank you.

To be precise ...

It's Steve Jobs' birthday. That makes him 51 years old tomorrow.

Can you say "Cuda"

Hey,

The date is a birthday and I even used to remember his name since this question comes up every so often. It's the birthday of Ray something or other that developed the cuda and its attendant technology. Before that, the date used to be some day in 1904 since that was the first year of the new century that was a leap year.

I figured it was b-day.

I figured it was a birthday. I knew it had to do with something, besides the day when I have to go back to school Blum 3 (8-27). And what's a cuda? I would really like to know that to.
