building your own Apple II paddles? light pen?

Does anyone know the pinouts & potentiometer size that the Apple II paddles use?

I would like to build a pair.

Similarly, if anyone has any instructions (or a link) on building a light pen (and programming it) that would also be interesting...

Thanks

Apple II Paddles

The apple port uses a 150K Ohm potentiometer for a range of 0-255 on the port. I've built a few joysticks, I'll see if I can dig up the instructions.
To use a correction capacitor for potentiometer values less than 150K ohms use the following formula.
corr.cap=(150K/newpot*.022)-.022
add the correction cap between the GC pin and ground.

If you want a PDF file with more complete information send me a message with your email address. The information is similar to the reply from David Schmidt but has the complete pin list on the game port, and excerpts from the Apple II reference manual.
