Hello, my problem here is trying to access an account that my access is denied to. What I'm doing is backing up two computers, one boots up fine, the other locks up just at the beginning of bootup. I successfully backed up one of them, but the other, not quite done yet. Since I can't boot from the other, I had to connect the hard drive from that computer into another computer. When I did this, I noticed that an account might have a password, since it denies access when I try to open it. I know the password, since I've worked with this person before who gave me the two comps, but since I can't boot from that drive and can't login to that account, I believe I'm stuck where I am. Is there some sort of way to allow access by typing in the password through some sort of browsing application or what? If anybody can help me with this problem, that would be great. Thank you.

So the Windows installation is hosed on one drive, and you connected it to another computer, but you still can't access the data? If you're connecting the drive to a working PC as a second drive, you should have no problem accessing the entire contents of the drive.
I can access all the data, except for one folder, which is the folder for the user. That user has a password. So I can't access his documents folder and stuff to back up.
